Golden Rain & Watch this space!


It is a beautiful, blue sky, sunny day in Hungary. I am about to head out on a road trip with friends to Szeged, Hungary. Szeged is a lovely university town on the Southern border of Hu and Serbia and it is where our friend Arden lives. We will join her for a prayer walk around town center and the university. And undoubtably, a visit (or 2) to the best ice cream shops in all of Hungary. We will be there overnight as tomorrow is a big holiday and an occassion of a 4 day weekend. Of course, everyone had to work and go to school this past Saturday to get this long weekend.

The weather is so nice for it, too. From a very mild winter, we have entered a full blown spring. All the early flowers are up, cherry trees in bloom and forsythia bushes budded. The Hungarian name for forsythia is arany eső - golden rain!

Oh, after the prayer walk some of Arden's friends will join us for a prayer and praise time and we may have some news for you so.....watch this space.

The turning of a page....

Don't you just love opening a brand new beautiful and colorful notebook, grabbing your favorite pen and deciding what to write on that clean, white page? Or do you hesitate, wondering what if you mess the page up, or your ink runs out or you misspell something or you spill coffee on it???  Sometimes that first word, on the first page is the hardest.  BUT go for it!!! Jump right in! It's a brand new day, a brand new month and time's a wasting!!! I woke up this morning after a great night's sleep, ( which is somewhat rare) Remembered a dream I had (sometimes happens)...in which I Spoke a sentence in Polish and it seemed correct (and short :-) (an absolute first!) I realized then it was August first and I could turn the page on my calendar!! and in that small act of turning a page, I sensed a shift, a much bigger SHIFT. Suddenly, anything was possible, everything was possible!!! Everything was new,  new mercies, new grace, new favor, a new start, new creative ideas

What life is like in Poland!!

I am overwhelmed with the hospitality, the helpfulness and the love of the Polish people! I believe most Polish people have these characteristics but I know I am right now smack in the middle of God's "Uncommon Treasure's" and right in the middle of a refreshing move of the Spirit. The River of God is rising all around the world and He does not want anyone to miss it!!! I have rented an apartment in the downtown area, close to the church and as most of you will not be surprised to hear...it has become a "HUB" of activities!!! On my first Sunday speaking of the new time and the new things God wanted to do, He gave this scripture: Isa 65.8 Thus says the Lord: "As the new wine is found in the cluster,  and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,'" ESV  We began then to add more "clusters", gathering people and being aware of who wasn't yet joined int he cluster.  I began holding ladies meetings every Friday
