April trip to NY (19-29) - Friends

Image
Diedre drove Alaskan visitors, Deb & Deloris and I up to Albany to shop and then I continued to J'town - this was a mini reunion for all of us and it was great fun!! In Johnstown I got together with friends Jayne and Joan for lunch. Jayne also drove me back to Poughkeepsie Jayne, MJ, Joan. These ladies helped me take care of mom and we all became really good friends. They are both a huge blessing to me. And this is the card group that no longer shuffles :-). We go back so many years and used to meet weekly for  cards. Now we meet for mini reunions when I come to town - we eat and chat and chat some more. Clockwise from me, Sue, Peggy, Milly, Deb, Cheryl and Kathy.  4 of us graduated together, 2 graduated a year earlier and one is the baby of the group. Cathy and her new "Merc"

What a lovely time of fellowship and prayer my friend from Szeged, Cathy and I had together. Also, a chance for her to take her new (pre-owned) car for a road trip. It really is the season for new things! I'm excited. She also "entertained" me with her patience and perseverance as she straightened out a roll of cling film (saran wrap) so it could be used again. Seriously, I would have given up after about 2 minutes and tossed it out!

The friends I visited in Israel

L Here I am loving the Mediterranean Sea while visiting with my Ukranian friends Rita and Gena, in town square with Gena and my Shabbat flowers, next my South African friend Susan with a guide in the Garden Tomb and one of us together in the garden of Christ Church Guest House and then enjoying dinner out with my Hungarian friend Timea who is living south of Tel Aviv doing research. I wish I had discovered lemonade with fresh mint earlier in the trip :-)! Thanks to all for making this the best trip ever!
