Salvations,healings and freedom!

What an incredible time of ministry in Ukraine these last 2 weeks. The first meeting I had was in Khust and was a ladies meeting - complete with drama, special music, and refreshments. About 70 ladies came for the conference named "She is Free". God gave me a wonderful message about giving up an anxious distracted mind (worries) and cultivating a sound mind of peace. (Matt 6.25-34) Almost everyone came forward for prayer. The meeting started at 3 and we finished praying at 8.30 pm! The best part was the 3 ladies that prayed to ask Jesus into their heart. This is one of my favorite churches and I loved the fellowship with Pastor Vitaly, his wife Lena and his 2 sons and sweet daughter. Onto Uzghorod where I met with former missionaries to Moldova who asked me to go there with them in the fall. I am so excited about that new door opening. I also met with good friends and ministry partners Lola and Joseph and Tanya. I spent lots of time fellowshiping with Anya and Richard a

Arts team from New Hampshire in Ukraine

Image
I spent the lat 3 days of my ministry trip to Ukraine with Pastor Paul Berube and a high school team from Nashua Christian Academy. The team was a ministry and an arts team. The arts team was very talented and really anointed. They danced to songs in Russian and English and did the "Toy Maker" in Russian. The ministry team will spend time with some of the orphans and street kids that we serve.

Sprngtime in Ukraine

I have never seen the Ukraine looking so beautiful! In Khust, Uzghorod and Mukachevo the red tulips were in bloom, the cherry trees in blossom and the skies blue and sunny. Whimsical sculptors, school graduation and a smoked prune crepes pictured here.

Cathy and her new "Merc"

Image
What a lovely time of fellowship and prayer my friend from Szeged, Cathy and I had together. Also, a chance for her to take her new (pre-owned) car for a road trip. It really is the season for new things! I'm excited. She also "entertained" me with her patience and perseverance as she straightened out a roll of cling film (saran wrap) so it could be used again. Seriously, I would have given up after about 2 minutes and tossed it out!

Easter Monday-Husvet Hetfoje or Vizbeveto

which means if you live in Hungary and you are a woman - you will be getting wet!! Although the custom was a "dousing" with water, we now experience a "sprinkling" of perfume on your head. The "watered" also has a poem recited to her and is supposed to offer a drink, sweetie or colored egg to the gentleman who sprinkled her. My neighbor Sandor accepted a kiss on the cheek and now the fragrance of inexpensive perfume follows me like a cloud. My eyes are watering!

Easter Saturday and Sunday

Image
Easter Saturday was spent with the Bartha sisters,Kata and Borbala in Vac along the Danube River. What a wonderful time we all had together and the weather was beautiful!! I was telling them about an idea to bless Hungarian English teachers with a "camp" with native speakers and the creative ideas began to flow! (Diosjeno, July 19-21). The girls offered to come and help with the 3 day event and Borbala (a teacher of teachers!) just about wrote the program as we sat enjoying the sun. Stay tuned for more details. Easter Sunday service at the International Church of Budapest was just wonderful. Dear friends Patricia and Sandor Varga lead the worship, there was a slideshow of "Spring" sent by Slovakian friends, Sharon Bixler talked to the children about the true meaning of Easter (not chicks, eggs and bunnies but the Lamb that was slain for all) and presented each child with a lovely chocolate lamb. Otto had a wonderful teaching about the "New Life" we can e
