Top row, above: Erin,Susan,Heather, David,Lauren, MJ, Dave,Joanna seated:Emeshe,Sarah,Kelly, Kelly(RFC),Steve,Lydia My friend Erin, (who is sent out from Alaska, too) is in her 3rd year of teaching in the Hungarian school system and has found her mission and calling here. Her placement organization is called ESI . This year Erin is the retreat coordinator and asked me to minister for their Spiritual Renewal weekend. Over the years, I have had many friends in ESI and being with this group today brought all of that back to mind. Kelly, the Regional Field Coordinator, came in from Prague. She has been with ESI for a quite awhile and knew the Enserinks who lived at Toldy Ference. When Steve & Shirley left that became my flat and "The Upper-Room Mission Guest House". One of the current ESI families, Steve and Lydia live in that flat today. Kind of a full circle. Hope and Life planning meeting

Volodya and Oxana, MJ and Richard and Anya meet together to look over the 2008 schedule. Welcome to Oxana (Volodya's wife) who joined the team this month. We had a very busy time of ministry over the weekend and God blessed our time together. As a team, we had a coffee morning, a visit to Alla and the girls and boy at Pavlova, and an evening meal on Saturday. Anya translated for me as we did a ladies meeting for The Church of the Living God in between those times. Besides the Shabbat service, she also translated for me at Slava and Jessica's church in Perechin on Sunday. We also had time for coffee and prayer with Bishop Vasili and his wife Natasha after the service. I will return to Perechin mid February to meet with the ladies. We are also really looking forward to Pastor Marlow coming in February when Hope and Life will host a 3 day Pastor's retreat. We expect more than 30 pastors and wives to attend. June Vision trip

I mentioned to you that Arden and I met a new friend, Dan Chamberlain and he is now like a brother to us. His desire was to help his Atlanta, GA mission department of his church to extend their boundaries. Arden and I took him into 3 different nations looking at many work projects and opened doors for him to return with teams this fall. We were all strengthened and inspired by the great work we were seeing already accomplished both in Ukraine, Hungary and Serbia. We are praying for God's leading for Dan and wisdom to know which projects to help. Please see Arden's blog : www.ceoforthekids.blogspot.com for PICTURES! (AAAAGGGHHH I miss my camera!) The latest news is, it has died a dignified but untimely death with no hope for revival. Guess what I want for my birthday :-).
