New Office of Hope & Life

Image
This is an exciting time for the Hope and Life office in Uzghorod as the team has just moved into a new building with wonderful office space. This was a big step in faith as rent was more than double the previous office. The office is new and is in the heart of town very conveniently located. Already more than 30 students had signed up for English classes. Every lesson is started with prayer and our prayers are for students with a heart to know God. We are greatly encouraged!

The wonderful worship team! The purpose of this trip was to be the guest speaker for the Church of the Living God, Mukachevo. I have been visiting this church since 1992 and am close friends with a number of the leadership and have brought greetings at many services but this was the first I have been invited to speak for a ladies meeting. In fact it was the first ladies meeting in a number of years. The meeting was well attended with about 70 ladies. Even 4 friends from Uzghorod attended. The church was encouraged as there were new ladies, too. God was so good and His presence so sweet. He lead me to first share my testimony and then about "Certain Women" the ministry. Then we broke for fellowship, sweets and drinks. When we regrouped I shared from the Word, mainly from Matt 6 - "Don't worry about these things....Seek first the Kingdom of God and ALL these things will be added to you." Pastor Tibi's wife Eve had known I spoke on this subject to the Khust ladi...

Preparing for ministry trip

Monday, I will be heading into the Ukraine again. This time with a team consisting of Pastors Marlow Dunham, New York, Vince Brassard, Colorado and a couple from NY who hope to retire soon to Ukraine - Jim and Laurie Slize. We usually travel by train but this time we will be picked up and driven in. The ride should be at least 5 hours long and could be 7 depending on road conditions, weather and the border crossing. We sure would appreciate your prayers. We will be ministering in Uzghorod, Mukachevo, Holmok and Khust, Ukraine - all in the Trans Carpathian area of Ukraine. The Ukraine has recently held an election and the "new" President is Russian leaning and reportedly not in favour of free/independent churches. It will be interesting to hear what our partners there are sensing. I was really impressed when I visited in December in the growth and strength of all the ministries. The outreach to street children now has multiple locations and a new residential home. The ori...
