A Certain Woman in Eastern Europe

"I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year: 'Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.' And he replied: 'Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than the known way.' " I felt impressed by the Spirit that I needed to tread carefully into the new year and work to firmly establish "right" priorities and prepare spiritually for 2012.  I felt it was important for the entire year, how the first month was spent.  His Grace helped me set aside time and pray and study and seek Him especially in those areas of  "establishing".  Now, on the eve of February, I am amazed by all He did this month. Watch for changes, watch for blessings, watch for fulfillment of His Word and watch for restoration. Put your hand into His hand and hold on tight and don't be surprised with the shaking, and shifting this year!!

How I love a road trip!! This weekend, I am heading out to Debrecen where I lived for 3 years. Debrecen (which is the 2nd or 3rd largest city in Hungary, it rivals Miskolc) is in the Eastern part of the country about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Budapest. I have been invited to speak on Sunday at the "Haz"/House Church (formerly called the International Church of Debrecen). The Lord had me on a 3 year assignment with this church when it was ICD and I have many fond memories of the work, the church, the city and the people. I am thrilled to return to see what the Lord has done and is doing. I will be staying with friend's and enjoying sweet fellowship which is an added blessing. Thanks for praying, as I deliver a Word, I believe is from the Lord for them at this phase of their church life.

I have such an expectation of what a year this will be!! 2012 - A year of government, A year of establishment A year filled with Grace to bring order into any area of our lives where there is dis-order. This January, I felt impressed to closet away with the Lord as much as I could to make sure the "first" month of the new year would line up in a right way with His will and giving Him the preeminence. I am re-establishing somethings as priorities and am spending time to consider what things are important to God and what things are good but will ultimately be only a distraction to His best for me. I am enjoying the time He has given me and I am enjoying tidying up those loose ends. We had wonderful services at ICB on Sunday, January 2 and 8th. On the 8th we had people in the overflow hall :-)of course, we were in the smaller meeting room but God continues to encourage us that He is doing a new thing in our midst and we will see new life and enjoy new
