Israel - Thursday, March 4

This was the favorite day for many as we traveled to Latrun to dedicate "Ganei Chaim" (Gardens of Life) for the Be'ad Chaim (Pro-Life Ministry). Here we planted cypress trees in honour of the unborn. The centerpiece of this new garden is a cedar of Lebanon brought from the border of Lebanon.

"Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."

After the dedication and planting of the trees, we traveled back to Galilee to enjoy a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. It was a beautiful night, a beautiful sunset, the boat was called "Faith" and as soon as we shoved off the worship music started, the deck chairs were pushed aside and the dancing began!! It was a wonderful time of rejoicing!

Lots of new things in my life

I have received a number of very encouraging prophetic Words recently. Most have included my youth being renewed like an eagle's (Isa 40: 30,31) and also saying this was a new season with fresh dreams being fulfilled. Also, that God is stirring up my gifts and graces and bringing them forth in a new way and He has given be a Sarah anointing which will cause me and others to laugh at what the Lord is saying and asking of me! I continue to be very happy here in Poland and can really sense God's blessing and encouragement.  There is a scripture in Psalms that captures this exactly: Psalm 92.12-14 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. And two of the most important things to happen this year.....

#1 - On March 14, at the immigration office in Krakow, I applied for my residency. Despite having applied on an outdated form, and even with needing another letter from the church, we completed the visit in 45 minutes. They said the decision would be made within 2 months. On May 12, I received news they had granted me a 3 year residency permit but the card would need to be picked up when ready. 2 days before we had to take Mikhaila and Veronica back to the airport, we received the call to come in at any time so we planned it for the morning of the girls flight on June 16.  Here is a glimpse of the card and a photo from our celebratory lunch at Market Square in Krakow. Chocolate chip cookies

My mom who was a very good cook and baker, was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Since she can no longer make them I took it upon myself to "try" to perfect the recipe. This is my latest attempt. (Last weeks were enjoyable but not in the running) Two brothers independently rated them at 8.5 out of 10 - 10 of course would be just like moms. This score could even climb to 9 depending on how they taste frozen. Mom often baked at night and would leave "some" out on a plate and the rest hidden in the freezer so they would last longer. Of course we figured that out pretty quickly and now prefer them frozen. You may like yours golden and crispy but there is a secret ingredient in these and a way to bake them that makes them soft and oh so yummy!!
