Hope and Life planning meeting


Volodya and Oxana, MJ and Richard and Anya meet together to look over the 2008 schedule. Welcome to Oxana (Volodya's wife) who joined the team this month. We had a very busy time of ministry over the weekend and God blessed our time together. As a team, we had a coffee morning, a visit to Alla and the girls and boy at Pavlova, and an evening meal on Saturday. Anya translated for me as we did a ladies meeting for The Church of the Living God in between those times. Besides the Shabbat service, she also translated for me at Slava and Jessica's church in Perechin on Sunday. We also had time for coffee and prayer with Bishop Vasili and his wife Natasha after the service. I will return to Perechin mid February to meet with the ladies. We are also really looking forward to Pastor Marlow coming in February when Hope and Life will host a 3 day Pastor's retreat. We expect more than 30 pastors and wives to attend.

We have a wonderful team in Ukraine and we are blessed to be able to serve the Lord together and develop as ministers, individually and as a team. We look forward to the assignments God has for us and we are blessed to be able to bring the hope and life of Christ to those in the Transcarpathian area of Ukraine.

July 2019 Update One of the high points of summer is always our 8 day long church camp. The turning of a page....

Don't you just love opening a brand new beautiful and colorful notebook, grabbing your favorite pen and deciding what to write on that clean, white page? Or do you hesitate, wondering what if you mess the page up, or your ink runs out or you misspell something or you spill coffee on it???  Sometimes that first word, on the first page is the hardest.  BUT go for it!!! Jump right in! It's a brand new day, a brand new month and time's a wasting!!! I woke up this morning after a great night's sleep, ( which is somewhat rare) Remembered a dream I had (sometimes happens)...in which I Spoke a sentence in Polish and it seemed correct (and short :-) (an absolute first!) I realized then it was August first and I could turn the page on my calendar!! and in that small act of turning a page, I sensed a shift, a much bigger SHIFT. Suddenly, anything was possible, everything was possible!!! Everything was new,  new mercies, new grace, new favor, a new start, new creative ideas

What life is like in Poland!!

I am overwhelmed with the hospitality, the helpfulness and the love of the Polish people! I believe most Polish people have these characteristics but I know I am right now smack in the middle of God's "Uncommon Treasure's" and right in the middle of a refreshing move of the Spirit. The River of God is rising all around the world and He does not want anyone to miss it!!! I have rented an apartment in the downtown area, close to the church and as most of you will not be surprised to hear...it has become a "HUB" of activities!!! On my first Sunday speaking of the new time and the new things God wanted to do, He gave this scripture: Isa 65.8 Thus says the Lord: "As the new wine is found in the cluster,  and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,'" ESV  We began then to add more "clusters", gathering people and being aware of who wasn't yet joined int he cluster.  I began holding ladies meetings every Friday
