Hospitality continues

On July 3rd I arrived in Nashville, knowing no one. I called the wrong Marriot hotel shuttle but as it was late, and I had no luggage (no show for 36 hrs!) the kindly driver took pity on me. Thanks Neil for helping me out, returning the next day to bring me your phone and telling me about Net10 phone service. You saved the day! And I continue to pray for you, as you asked.

Rebecca Porter, thank you for taking it upon yourself to single handedly find me a place to stay in Nashville. You excelled!! Thank you Karen for bringing me a swimsuit and taking me shopping for essentials until my luggage came. And Kelly, what can I say! It was great to meet you, see you in October!

The Iowa delegation/the kidnappers!!! My precious roomate Ann, thank you for that hotel blessing, staying in your home and sharing your new grand son :-). Steve and Luana and Zach, your extended and repeated rich hospitality and that house and that pool :-) and all those other special guests!! (Teddy and Timothy - I will see you in NH in October.)

Phil and Jane and Becca, Mark, Pam, Brent, Amanda and Mary! Lynelle and Ron, Kate and Tom, Pastor Barb and Noel. Thank you so much for my surprise birthday party and special prayer times, church times, lunch times, wow! Kevin's 50th party and dancing.

On my second trip to Iowa, Ann and I got to see a missionary friend from Scotland days, Joanne Behrend. It was a great connect, pray for Joanne as she is in Honduras ministering now.

It is not unusual for me to "connect" or have "divine appointments" but this was at a level I never knew before. Not just a person but representatives from various parts of the "Quad Cities" church/business/ministry areas. Thank you for sharing your community, your sweet, rich koinania. To see you all share and help each other and pray together and move from house to house was like seeing the Acts church functioning....still.

The trip to Iowa also landed me in the middle of a group of extremely wonderful, courageous women, leaders of ministries, leaders in their states, all representatives of "Operation Outcry" a ministry of the Justice Foundation. http://www.operationoutcry.org/ and/or http://www.txjf.org/

Chief among them Tracy and Paula - oh what adventures we had in Iowa, St Louis and San Antonio. How many miles/days/shops/laughs did we spend together do you think? I am so blessed to know you!! and being in San Antonio at the River Walk and the Alamo was long time desire of mine, now fulfilled.

Tracy, thanks for hosting me in San Antonio and hooking me up with Bobbi Kloss. We had so many connects, Hungary, single mom of a great son, her mentoring program. Thanks Bobbi
for sharing your benefactor's house and pool and so many of the special girls and mentors. thanks for taking a stranger in, I was blessed.

A special thanks to Lisa and the Justice Foundation staff and the special time we had together. And all the new friends I met in Killean, TX. Especially more time with Cindy Collins and Karen Bodle. that was so special, and new friends from North and South Carolina, DaNelle and Colleen. When I find my pictures, I will post our picture. I know we will meet again!!
