What life is like in Poland!!

I am overwhelmed with the hospitality, the helpfulness and the love of the Polish people! I believe most Polish people have these characteristics but I know I am right now smack in the middle of God's "Uncommon Treasure's" and right in the middle of a refreshing move of the Spirit. The River of God is rising all around the world and He does not want anyone to miss it!!! I have rented an apartment in the downtown area, close to the church and as most of you will not be surprised to hear...it has become a "HUB" of activities!!! On my first Sunday speaking of the new time and the new things God wanted to do, He gave this scripture: Isa 65.8 Thus says the Lord: "As the new wine is found in the cluster,  and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,'" ESV  We began then to add more "clusters", gathering people and being aware of who wasn't yet joined int he cluster.  I began holding ladies meetings every Friday

September 8 - move to Poland - Why, Poland?

Image
I am now living in Tarnow, Poland - 70 km east of Krakow  In 2009, while I was in upstate New York to take care of my mom, the Lord clearly began to speak to me about a calling to the nations. In the spring, because of her needs, I asked Him "Do you want me to stay here?" With the living Word God clearly answered me, "No", so late in 2009 after mom and her house were settled, I moved back to Europe. I visited Poland in Dec 2009, and Israel in March 2010, and was very disappointed neither nation opened to me.  I continued in Hungary with God being faithful to fill my hands and life with various assignments from Him, including an assignment pastoring, and then welcoming my Nadia to live with me, which resulted in the young ones gathering and the long imagined "Ministry Center" being totally renovated and becoming a reality!!!! God is so good and so faithful!!!  For the last couple of years, I even thought it was time to return to the United States and

Mikhaila's visit!!!

How blessed I was to have my beautiful granddaughter Mikhaila spend time with me this summer. She graduated high school in June and then headed out with her mom and "Aunt" Jenny for a European adventure going to London and Paris. After Paris, Mikhaila headed to me. We were hosting a Bible school mission team of 7, aged 18 to 20 so Mikhaila fit right in.  The day after she arrived, I left for Poland and she went with the team to a conference & outreach in Germany. We arrived home the same day, slept in Budapest and traveled to Ukraine for 4 days. Again one night in Bp and Mikhaila joined the team in a weekend outreach to Vienna, Austria. On her return, we at last had time together to sightsee Budapest.  I love that missions and nations are in her heart!! with Person family First night together! In Ukraine with great Hope & Life friends Missionaries of New York :-) in Ukraine Oksana and Volodya with Mikhaila With the team at Batthyany Ter

International Baptist Ladies Meeting - June and March

Image
I have been re-united with a missionary friend of some years ago which led to an invitation to minister for the International Baptist church ladies here in Budapest.  In March had a 3 day retreat at the Word of Life Bible School located about an hour outside of Budapest. It was a great facility but more than that, the Lord visited us in fabulous worship, rich portion of His Word, a wonderful facility and many amazing treats, food, crafts, converations and prayer times. Everyone left feeling full of God's goodness. Well done - good and faithful servant, Grace McBrier!!! In June the ladies planned their last event before summer and I was asked to speak once again. Grace picked the theme of "Where is your treasure" and invited us all to her home in Vac. We had amazing, food, games, crafts, worship and God again blessed His word. The fellowship was so good and the ladies so special. Grace and David out did themselves in every area!!! Grace & MJ w
