Hmmmmm, What happened to an April report/blog?



Ahhhh April, Must get out my calendar to see what happened! :-) It was A LOT!

Palm Sunday - Preached in Debrecen as part of their celebration of new building. The Haz is a great International Church!

Visit from my missionary friend and part-time rookie - Tammy S. - Always a pleasure!

Helped to celebrate Ellel Ministries, Hungary - 20th Anniversary

Visit with British friends - part of our unofficial "Westerners who have renovated a village house" club - Wow, do we have stories! and some success,too.

An important ministry time and coffee with a courageous missionary going through changes.

The purchase, delivery and installation of my first ever "new" mattress & bed. It is black wrought iron and safely "tucked" in the loft. Lovin' it and my recently installed railing on the steps leading up to the loft.

A Passover Seder hosted by "Jews for Jesus" ministry - wonderful dinner, touching remembrance of The Lamb of God who's sacrifice was perfect and able to take away the sins of the world!! Enjoyed with special friends Scott & JoEllen C.

A special time, with special lady friends for prayer - on a Monday evening. Reminiscent of the year's of Monday night prayer that happened right here at Batthyany 18.

Welcome of 2 "Operation Outcry" ladies, one a friend since I was "kidnapped" to Iowa 7/11/11 and a new friend. These ladies share not only their pain of abortion but also their forgiveness and restoration through Jesus Christ. In one week, we ministered in Hungary, Ukraine and Serbia.

My first (but not last) missionary journey to Serbia.

Goodbye to the ladies and hello to a new missionary couple stationed in Ukraine needing to be in Budapest to get some paperwork handled. Spent a delightful day and overnight together with Mike & Annie H and their precious baby daughter.

ICB - Last Sunday in April -  preached on being an arrow in the quiver and/or being wine settled on it's lees.

Monday, April 30 - reserved rooms for incoming guests in May and spent the afternoon - swimming in outside pool - Yes, summer arrived in April!!

A busy and wonderful month!!!

The turning of a page....

Don't you just love opening a brand new beautiful and colorful notebook, grabbing your favorite pen and deciding what to write on that clean, white page? Or do you hesitate, wondering what if you mess the page up, or your ink runs out or you misspell something or you spill coffee on it???  Sometimes that first word, on the first page is the hardest.  BUT go for it!!! Jump right in! It's a brand new day, a brand new month and time's a wasting!!! I woke up this morning after a great night's sleep, ( which is somewhat rare) Remembered a dream I had (sometimes happens)...in which I Spoke a sentence in Polish and it seemed correct (and short :-) (an absolute first!) I realized then it was August first and I could turn the page on my calendar!! and in that small act of turning a page, I sensed a shift, a much bigger SHIFT. Suddenly, anything was possible, everything was possible!!! Everything was new,  new mercies, new grace, new favor, a new start, new creative ideas

What life is like in Poland!!

I am overwhelmed with the hospitality, the helpfulness and the love of the Polish people! I believe most Polish people have these characteristics but I know I am right now smack in the middle of God's "Uncommon Treasure's" and right in the middle of a refreshing move of the Spirit. The River of God is rising all around the world and He does not want anyone to miss it!!! I have rented an apartment in the downtown area, close to the church and as most of you will not be surprised to hear...it has become a "HUB" of activities!!! On my first Sunday speaking of the new time and the new things God wanted to do, He gave this scripture: Isa 65.8 Thus says the Lord: "As the new wine is found in the cluster,  and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,'" ESV  We began then to add more "clusters", gathering people and being aware of who wasn't yet joined int he cluster.  I began holding ladies meetings every Friday
