Eastern European Outreach Celebrates 20 years!

Image
What a wonderful celebration we had last Saturday! I have been involved in this mission work for 15 years and have been on the Board of Directors the last 10 years. Please, Rejoice with us! Electronic newsletter of Kelet-Európa Misszió, Hungary - May 2012 Bible verse: "Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced..." (Psalm 105:5) LOOKING BACK BUT ALSO FORWARD On the 12th of May, on a sunny Saturday our mission centre in Inarcs was home to a jubilee celebration of the 20 years’ anniversary of the Eastern European Mission Hungary. We celebrated with a day of thanksgiving, including a church service with our more than 150 guests.  It is impossible to reflect on all the activities of two decades in only a few hours. However, it seems more realistic to recall a few episodes from the past, to remember the major milestones and bring back some of the emotions that we went through in the past 20 years. And this is exactly what we attempte...

Ordination

Image
Exciting times here in Budapest. I was recently ordained into the AIM Apostolic Network by one of their leaders, John Dean. John and I met last year by divine appointment and I felt strongly to formalize what God had done by joining this network.  John has a special call to Budapest and the 7 surrounding nations and we are all very excited in what the Lord has been saying in regards to the importance of Budapest in the coming revival and awakening of Europe. John will not only be my covering but also agreed to be covering for fellow missionary, Jim Person. While John was in Budapest this month, we gathered at our church, The International Church of Budapest, for the festivities. Missionary friends came in from Romania and Ukraine and fellow pastors from Budapest but the most exciting guest for me was my son Michael. Michael came in for a week and after Sunday's service we went to Ukraine on a mission trip.  What a joy it was to travel and minister with my son! The Sunday of ou...

Operation-Outcry in Ukraine

Image
With only  one and 1/2 days for Ukraine we were amazed at the platforms God created for us. We are also so thankful to Volodya S.with Hope & Life Ministries for setting up the schedule, translating and taking such good care of us. Our schedule started with an interview for the TransCarpathian television station. Then we spoke to a group of about 50 students and teachers at a Technical School and a television station filmed us there and then a press conference with multiple TV, radio and internet stations. At the press conference both ladies were interviewed along with a leading gynecologist and psychologist. The interview was streamed live over an internet site. We also managed to meet one of the "Certain Women" Angelika and prayed with her for healing for her 10 year old daughter Esther who has been diagnosed with MS, which is very unusual in a young person. We are praying and believing God to turn that diagnosis.  With the headmistress of the technical school ...

God had given Luana a vision of this girl and a prophecy for her before the conference started. It rocked her world and brought deep healing. God you are so good! Serbia, with Operation-Outcry

For a number of years, I have worked along-side a local (Budapest) Crisis Pregnancy Center called "Shout for Life".  I was often the "connect" between them and international visitors. Many of these visitors were very courageous women who publicly speak of how abortion has hurt their lives. I now count many of them dear friends.  In addition, from 2005 I have regularly led post-abortion Bible studies.   Last month all of these things culminated in my first mission trip to Serbia answering a call from a Hungarian speaking crisis pregnancy center to come teach women how to lead a post-abortion Bible study. 30 ladies and a few pastors came to our week-end retreat.  Two Operation-Outcry ladies came from the USA and we traveled from Budapest with a delegation from our Hungarian Center. We had bible studies with us in Hungarian and Russian and needed the Russian, too. God lead us to go through the 8 chapters of "Forgiven and Set Free" as if we were running a b...
