Hope and Life team

The first day of every trip we spend together with the "Hope and Life team. We pray together, share a meal together and go over our schedule. We always start with a schedule but "it is printed in pencil". This team of 2 couples (for now) organize our schedules by contacting all our partners, arranging all our visits, ministry times, appointments, taxis, housing and meals. They are on call almost 24/7. In addition to this they have just started the 2nd semester of an outreach they began called "True Life English". Even with us there they managed to teach all their classes from beginners to advanced, children and adult. They have about 20 students - most "pre-believers" who are really enjoying the bible stories, lessons and prayer times. Each of these team members are ministers of the Gospel in their own right and are impacting the Trans-Carpathian region for Jesus.
Meet Anya and Richard. They have been married for 3 years. Anya is Ukrainian and Richard is a missionary from Texas who speaks not only Russian and Ukrainian but "Trans-Carpathian" - a dialect some Ukrainians don't understand!

This is Volodya and his wife Oksana and their sons, Volodya and Daniel
What a special family!! Young Volodya has just had an amazing encounter with Jesus and has become a true believer. He is now asking to be water baptised!
Volodya and Oksana are people of prayer and so strong in the Lord despite some tremendous pressures. (another blog time to tell that).
Volodya has a pastor's heart and I believe the strength, growth and maturity we see in each of our partners is at least partly due to his care of the partners.

These couples meet weekly for prayer and bible study and will now start doing it a little more formally and invite some of their students to join them. We would be blessed if you would pray for this outreach. Quality people doing a quality work for the Lord and a nation can change!
