Slept 2 nights in a row! Yeah!!











I am really feeling better :-) and so is mom. Thanks to all who wrote, commented and called. Got to shovel for much needed exercise :-). Wanted you to see more of life here. So here is a photo of my bedroom with my beautiful bedspread (much nicer in person) that my brother in Singapore sent me, my sitting room, the painting I brought from "home" in Hungary and the snow banks.
We got a few more inches today but at least it is only 30F unlike Alaska which is off the charts cold: -44 in Fairbanks on Sunday. and -54 near there. That makes 30 balmy! And it is now snowing again.

Please be praying that someone will stay with mom so I can go out on a regular basis to get exercise (or find a treadmill) and that we both continue sleeping - it makes such a HUGE difference.
The Lord encouraged me with this scripture today: 1 Cor 16.13,14 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do, be done with love. Amen!

Good for you for getting some sleep. When I worked with kids in Spokane & they would cry in class, pastor Norm told me to do something that always works & will work with your mom. Put your hand on their head and PRAY PEACE ON THEM. Truly. Just do it with your mom. (Then lay hands on your own head & pray peace for yourself!) Will look for you on skype this weekend maybe.
I, myself, slept until 9:00 today! Needed it. I hate starting off the year exhausted!

We had a really good night last night - kind of...

My brother Jack and his wife Debby just arrived back from Florida where Jack was trying to hide out from having to face a "big" birthday. So my sister Kathi and I decorated his house to welcome him home - and left him a card that said "You can run, but you can't hide! :-). Some of you know Jack by his more common name "No rules for kids, Uncle Jack". Well, mom really enjoyed visiting with Jack and Debby and as a result she stayed up until 10.30. Most nights she can only sleep for about 5 hours tops and even then gets up a number of times. That means I get up with her :-). Night before last that was at 1.30, 4, 6 and 7!! So when this morning I realised I had been able to sleep through the night I was more concerned than relieved. February 4,5 Alpha Holy Spirit Retreat Hollókö, Hungary

Last Friday I traveled to Hollókö, Hungary to meet with my Hungarian friend. Nora. Nora is leading her second Alpha Course in her village. From there we traveled to another village for an overnight retreat.  10 ladies and some children attended. The Holy Spirit was so faithful to demonstrate Himself in our midst giving encouraging words as we prayed together,  refilling some and baptizing some for the first time.  It was a very precious time. If God lays it on your heart please be praying for these ladies. The 10 ladies were from 6 different villages in Nograd county (and me,too). In none of the villages are living churches but most of these ladies are "keys" to living prayer groups. Nora has been working in one of the villages and is now in the process of setting up a small retreat center. After our weekend she took me there to pray.
