More surprises from God.
The "Call" was an experience of a lifetime. More than 70,000 people gathered to worship and pray at LP field in Nashville om 7-7-07. The event started by 8am with thousands of people on a silent march into the stadium. Worship began spontaniously hours before the 10 am start. Despite the heat, most stayed until late. Many were fasting and lines to the water cooler were blocks long but the facility was really great. Near the end of the evening, 300 shofars were blown and an amazing sound of trumpets and drums and worship broke through the heavenlies. We left feeling sure that God was pleased with all the worship, repentance and prayers that were offered to Him. The prayer meeting on Friday that was held for the prayer meeting on Saturday was also great. Dutch Sheets, Lou Engel, Cindy Jacobs and Mike Bickel were all there but it was the thousands upon thousands of regular folks from all walks of life and from most every state, and every denomination who made the difference. To see their faith that this great nation of ours could be turned back to glorify and honour God by prayer and repentance was amazing. During the time of renewing our marriage committment and covenant to God, three marriages took place as part of the program!! We all had communion together, too. We left with the proclamation ringing in our ears that "The Call,Nashville" was the beginning of a restoration of purity, righteousness, justice and supernatural power in the church and that life as we knew it would never be the same again. My life certainly hasn't been the same.
I am now in Davenport, Iowa. I was kidnapped, no kidding :-). My ransom has been paid (by the King of Kings) and today (7-11-07) I turned 60! I was surrounded by a houseful of new friends and was blessed, blessed, blessed. I also received lots of e-cards. Thank you so much. We actually started the celebration yesterday and will continue so it is not too late to send a card :-). Tomorrow night at my host's home we are having a reception sponsored by the Iowa Christian Alliance. Senator Sam Brownback, a 2008 Presidential hopeful is to be here.
I have met so many wonderful men and women as a result of my trip to the "Call" Nashville. I feel like I am on a fast track, and being downloaded with information of the American church, prolife ministries and political/legistative happenings. The US church has really grown up in many ways during the last 15 years and God did not want me to miss anything :-).
I was placed with the delegation from Iowa through my friends from Operation Outcry a ministry of the Justice Foundation. I met 3 of these precious ladies in Budapest last year and they helped me make the connection. The connection has been so divine, we could not bear it to end. One lady said to me tonight, "God knew you did not want to sleep in a tent". :-). I have not given up my seat on the bus, or my spot in the tent. However, I do travel to St Louis on Monday and train from there to San Antonio to be part of a television program that Operation Outcry and the Justice Foundation are doing on Wednesday to talk about their recent trip to Hungary. I may join the "tent" people in Sedona, AZ but meanwhile, I am really enjoying my summer of real love. :-).
