....and why haven't you been blogging?
Now that is a really good question. It could have been because of the visit from Arden and Jennifer which led up to the 6 day mission trip to Ukraine that ministered to "Caregivers". That event included 3 meetings, various one on one times, numerous prayer times, no shopping trip except to the grocery store :-) a trip to a new orphanage and a Shabbat. Please see "ceo for the kids" blogspot under "certain friends" for pictures and a full report.
Or it could have been due to the business back in Debrecen of dear friend Sherry moving up to Kiev leaving room for new roomie and friend, Tammy moving in. See "INSTE News from Europe" for Tammy's blog about this move. Then I also had to renew my visa which took a bit of paperwork gathering, mailing, signing, receiving and a number of trips to the immigration office. They really are lovely people here in the Debrecen office. Never mind that each of the 3 Debrecen roomates had to furnish different paperwork to renew the same kind of visa in the same country.
Then off to Budapest for a KEMA mission board meeting, overnight with the dear Person family and off to the train station to meet the incoming team from New Hampshire, which lead to the 2nd ministry trip into Ukraine in February. This time with the NCA high school group and the Apostolic team and the re-birth of the "Cone book - Volume 3". That was also a 6 day trip and at the end of it Sherry flew in from Kiev to train back to Debrecen with me for a 14 hour visit.
During this time she sorted through some of her things and packed them in the back seat of Tammy's car to drive back to Ukraine. During that 14 hrs, we also celebrated Sherry's birthday with a great peanut satay chicken dish by chef Tammy and ate a deeelicious homemade carrot cake ala Edith and then watched a sweet movie....the kind that girls like.
After waving off the roomies, Edith and I set about life as usual in Debrecen which has included another trip to the visa office, an impromptu engagement party (none of the roomies :-), planning/organizing the next 2 ministry trips and some great times of worship and prayer with the ICD Tues, Fri, Sat prayer group etc, etc. Just so you know it wasn't just ..........blog block .
Oh, and I started (and turned over) a conversational english class for high school students at the American Corner.
